1.Prevent Environmental Damage

The environment can be pretty hard on our skin – so hard, that even the most expensive cosmetics can’t always fix the damage. Thankfully, Mother Nature has a defense system, called antioxidants. These powerful substances help fight off the damage caused by UV rays and other toxins from the inside.  The result is a healthy glow that everyone can see.
Great sources of antioxidants include olive oil, red wine, and green tea.

2.Keep the Skin Hydrated
water
Everyone knows water is important, but many people forget how powerful it is for healthy skin.  Besides keeping the body running smoothly, water helps keep the skin moisturized – preventing wrinkles.
Water can also help by reducing the amount of other drinks you may be tempted to drink.  This matters since the majority of drinks are loaded with sugar, which can lead to saggy, wrinkling skin.

3.Have Soft Supple Skin

Did you ever wish your skin could feel as soft as a baby’s? While there’s still no fountain of youth, you can preserve the natural softness of your skin.  As we age, our skin becomes more rough and scaly, but dark chocolate is a way to slow this process.
Dark chocolate contains high levels of cocoa flavanols, which, in addition to being an antioxidant, is also great for creating softer skin.

4.Reduce Wrinkles

The dreaded wrinkles – we see them coming, but we like to pretend they don’t exist. Keep wrinkles at bay, or better yet, make them leave by eating more healthy protein.  Protein builds elastin and collagen, key ingredients for taut, healthy skin.
Two especially healthy protein sources are grass-fed beef and eggs.  Grass- fed beef is not only loaded with protein; it also has good amounts of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.

5.Stop Acne

Experts believe that acne is caused by inflammation.  Inflammation is an immune response, typically reserved for fighting germs and other toxins. When our skin has an immune response, unsightly pimples may develop.
This process is great in principle, but sometimes the inflammation can get a little out of hand.  The Omega-3 Fatty Acid, DHA, is a known anti-inflammatory that can also reduce acne. Sardines are a great natural source of DHA.
